Baseball Game Preview: Headland Rams vs. Westminster Christian Academy Wildcats

The Headland Rams will venture away from home to take on the Westminster Christian Academy Wildcats at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Headland's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Westminster Christian Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Headland saw some tournament action on Tuesday. They came out on top against Mountain Home by a score of 10-6. Headland's win was all the more impressive since the Bombers were averaging only 3.29 runs allowed on the season.

Meanwhile, Westminster Christian Academy had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past St. John Paul II 7-6.

Amos Baldwin was incredible, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Nolan Gooden also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Westminster Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Headland's record is now 15-6. As for Westminster Christian Academy, their record now sits at 3-11.
