North Montgomery is 0-10 against Lebanon since January of 2017 but things could change on Friday. The North Montgomery Chargin' Chargers will be playing at home against the Lebanon Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
North Montgomery is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest loss since January 12, 2024 on Friday. They were outmatched by Danville and fell 75-37. The Chargin' Chargers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-20.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Kelby Harwood, who posted 12 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Colten Arnold, who had 14 points.
Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Lebanon's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They received a blow as they fell 75-57 to Tri-West Hendricks.
North Montgomery will have to contain Kaden Lark as he made an impact in Lebanon's last game. He almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine rebounds. Lark continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Jack Ferrell was another key player, putting up 12 points and six boards.
This is the second loss in a row for North Montgomery and nudges their season record down to 4-8. As for Lebanon, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: North Montgomery has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 21.3 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Lebanon struggles in that department as they've been averaging 24.3 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
North Montgomery might still be hurting after the 50-29 loss they got from Lebanon in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Lark, who went 8 of 17 on his way to 22 points and four steals.
