Softball Recap: United's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

United barely beat Southern the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Golden Eagles put the hurt on the Indians with a sharp 18-3 win on Wednesday. The Golden Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 matchups by seven runs or more this season.

The victory (which was United's third in a row) raised their record to 19-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.7 runs over those games. As for Southern, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

United will challenge Beaver Local at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Beavers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Golden Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Southern does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
