Tecumseh has gone a perfect 3-0 against Huron recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Indians will head out on the road to face off against the River Rats at 4:30 p.m. Tecumseh will be strutting in after a win while Huron will be coming in after a loss.
Tecumseh is headed out to face Huron after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. The Indians put the hurt on Erie-Mason with a sharp 8-2 victory on Thursday.
Kennedi Fulton looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
On the hitting side, Jessie Wilkinson was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Emma Eldred, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Tecumseh always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .553. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Erie-Mason only posted an OBP of .250.
Huron kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against Dexter, falling 17-0. The defeat continues a trend for the River Rats in their meetings with the Dreadnaughts: they've now lost eight in a row.
Huron saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mya Stewart, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.
Everything went Tecumseh's way against Huron in their previous meeting back in April of 2023, as Tecumseh made off with a 20-2 win. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the River Rats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
