Baseball Recap: Centennial Golden Hawks vs. Stockdale Mustangs
Centennial had lost three straight at home, but on Monday they dropped down to 11-12-1 to make it four. They fell just short of the Stockdale Mustangs by a score of 5-4. The Golden Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.
Kellan Weaver was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed 6.2 innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits.
At the plate, Alex Hughes was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Tanner Parsons, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run.
