Recap: Groves Rebels vs. Savannah Christian Raiders
The Groves Rebels won the last time they faced the Savannah Christian Raiders, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Groves came out on top against Savannah Christian by a score of 51-39.
Groves' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyrone Chisholm, who scored 14 points along with two steals. Chisholm is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 13 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sidney Flaggs, who scored 17 points along with two steals.
Groves has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 12-12 record this season. As for Savannah Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-14.
Groves is on the road again on Friday and plays Johnson at 7:30 a.m. on February 9th. Hopefully Groves focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Tuesday. Savannah Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
