Basketball Recap: Aiken Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Aiken hadn't done well against Western Hills recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Aiken Falcons blew past the Western Hills Mustangs 55-5. The match marked the Falcons' most dominant victory of the season.

The win (which was Aiken's eighth in a row) raised their record to 13-2. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.5 points per game. As for Western Hills, they dropped their record down to 1-11 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Aiken and Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday without much rest having both just played. As for Western Hills, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on DePaul Cristo Rey on February 5th.
