Football Recap: Palm Beach Central Comes Up Short

Palm Beach Central lost against West Boca Raton back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Broncos had to suffer through a 50-7 loss at the hands of the Bulls. While losing is never fun, the Broncos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 77th, while the Bulls are ranked seventh).

Chance Routson threw for 93 yards and one touchdown. Jayden St. Fort was his top target, picking up 47 receiving yards.

Javian Mallory was a one-man wrecking crew For West Boca Raton. as he rushed for 119 yards and three scores on only eight carries. That's the most rushing touchdowns Mallory has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Anderson Gracilien, who rushed for 95 yards on only seven carries.

Palm Beach Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Palm Beach Central will take on Spanish River at 6:30 p.m. on September 5. As for West Boca Raton, they will face off against Bergen Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on September 5.
