Baseball Recap: Aurora Comes Up Short

After flying high against Carthage on Saturday, Aurora came back down to earth. The Houn Dawgs fell 4-1 to the Hollister Tigers on Monday. The Houn Dawgs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 7-5.

Aurora saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Max Holland, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Aurora's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Hollister, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-11.

Coming up, Aurora will head out to square off against Branson at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hollister, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Marshfield at 4:30 p.m.
