Basketball Recap: Ignacio Comes Up Short

Ignacio lost to Bayfield back in February of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bobcats took a 58-42 bruising from the Wolverines.

Kingston Martinez had a dynamite gamefor Bayfield, shooting 77% from the field to rack up 21 points. Those 21 points gave Martinez a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Drew Jepson, who posted six points along with six rebounds and five steals.

Ignacio's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Bayfield, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-4.

Ignacio wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 48-40 loss against Centauri on the 23rd. As for Bayfield, they have also already played their next game, a 51-46 win against Monte Vista on the 23rd.
