Softball Preview: Dobson Mustangs vs. West Point Dragons
The Dobson Mustangs will face off against the West Point Dragons at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.
Dobson took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Apollo with a sharp 16-6 victory. The Mustangs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Allie Hanson was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off three hits (and only one walk). Hanson was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs.
