Basketball Recap: Huntley Finds Playoff Glory Versus Jefferson

It's playoff time, and Huntley had no trouble coming through when it counted. They took their match on Monday with ease, bagging an 83-26 victory over the Jefferson J-Hawks. The Red Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 22 contests by 28 points or more this season.

Despite the defeat, Jefferson saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Alanna Morehead posted 19 points. Morehead's big performance that evening made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points.

The win keeps them at an undefeated 32-0. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.7 points over those games. As for Jefferson, their loss dropped their record down to 5-28.

Huntley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-25 victory against Rockford Auburn on the 20th. Jefferson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
