Baseball Recap: Vista PEAK Prep Extends Winning Streak to Three

Vista PEAK Prep had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They never let the Denver East Angels get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Bison, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The result came thanks to Abel Salinas's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up nine Ks.

On the hitting side, Eric Houser was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He has become a key player for Vista PEAK Prep: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 4-7 otherwise.

The victory got Vista PEAK Prep back to even at 7-7. As for Denver East, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Vista PEAK Prep will take on Denver North at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Denver East, they will square off against Eagle Valley at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
