Marine Leadership Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the North Grand Eagle Owls a 3-0 shutout. For Marine Leadership Academy, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 victory North Grand walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, North Grand fell to 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marine Leadership Academy is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Chicago Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for North Grand, they will challenge Lake View at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
