Bret Harte had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Manteca Buffaloes a 1-0 shutout. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Bullfrogs were the better team in the second half.

The victory got Bret Harte back to even at 4-4-2. As for Manteca, they dropped their record down to 1-13 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bret Harte will venture away from home to challenge Calaveras at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Manteca, they will head out on the road to square off against Ripon Christian at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday.
