Piedmont Hills lost to Lincoln back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Piedmont Hills Pirates were the clear victor by an 8-1 margin over the Lincoln Lions. Considering the Pirates have won three matches by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Travis Linane made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Jake Paskert and Toby Torres did most of the damage at the plate: Paskert scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Torres scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. That's the most hits Paskert has posted since back in April of 2024. Alex Tran also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.

The victory got Piedmont Hills back to even at 3-3. As for Lincoln, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-3.

Piedmont Hills will have a chance to go back-to-back against Lincoln: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
