Recap: Spruce Timberwolves vs. Poteet Pirates
The Spruce Timberwolves lost against the Poteet Pirates back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Spruce was beaten by Poteet 60-14. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Spruce has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Spruce still got an impressive performance from Mesoulay Williams, who scored 12 points. Williams scored a full 85.7% of Spruce's points, the eighth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Spruce has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for Poteet, the win got them back to even at 11-11.
Spruce will be playing at home against Seagoville at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Poteet, they will head out on the road to face off against Conrad at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Conrad is on a three-game streak of home wins, Poteet a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
