Volleyball Recap: Lehi Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Lehi was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bingham Miners. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pioneers of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Lehi started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 22-25, 23-25, 25-21, 25-22, 15-13.

Aliya Shewell paced Lehi's offense, picking up 17 kills. Shewell got some help from Savannah Morehead and her 45 assists. Morehead was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Lehi's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Bingham, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-6.

Coming up, Lehi will square off against American Fork at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bingham, they will face off against Cedar Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
