Recap: Port Allen Pelicans vs. Union Parish Farmers
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Port Allen Pelicans, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were outmatched by Union Parish on the road and fell 35-6.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Union Parish to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chase Meeking, who picked up 145 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Union Parish also got a significant boost from Derrick Dew, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 86 yards.
Port Allen's loss dropped their record down to 6-5-1. As for Union Parish, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
Port Allen does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Union Parish is on the road again on Friday and play against Bogalusa at 7:00 p.m. on November 24th. Bogalusa is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
