Soccer Game Preview: Grandview vs. Emerald Ridge

The Grandview Greyhounds are taking a road trip to challenge the Emerald Ridge Jaguars at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Grandview is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Sunnyside on Tuesday. Grandview and Sunnyside finished up their game with a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Emerald Ridge fell victim to Silas and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Rams by a score of 1-0. The loss was the Jaguars' first of the season.

Emerald Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. Grandview's draw gives them a new season record of 2-0-1.

Grandview suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Emerald Ridge in their previous meeting back in March of 2023. Can Grandview avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
