Softball Recap: Kenai Central Has No Trouble Against Homer

Kenai Central's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They put the hurt on the Homer Mariners with a sharp 15-3 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-7 last Friday.

Kayani Whicker was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Kailey Stynsberg was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.

Kenai Central's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Homer, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Kenai Central will have a chance to go back-to-back against Homer: the pair will be back at it again later today.
