Softball Recap: Northeastern Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Northeastern had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hagerstown Tigers, sneaking past 7-6. The win was nothing new for the Knights as they're now sitting on three straight.

The team relied heavily on Addisyn Wright, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Brooklynne Adams, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Northeastern kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in four consecutive games.

Northeastern's record now sits at 15-3. As for Hagerstown, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 17-3.

Looking ahead, Northeastern will square off against Centerville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hagerstown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
