Volleyball Recap: Wasatch Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Macy Clark and Milani Allred

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Wasatch and Spanish Fork, and Spanish Fork kept the tradition alive. The Wasps came up short against the Dons on Tuesday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Wasps have suffered against the Dons since October 21, 2021.

Wasatch was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-18, 25-23.

Wasatch's loss came despite strong showings from Milani Allred and Macy Clark. Allred had six digs and three aces, while Clark had 13 assists and four digs. Allred is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served three or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Spanish Fork was led to victory by Sarah Harwood and Baylee Smith. Harwood had 11 digs and four aces, while Smith had ten digs and two assists. That's the most assists Smith has posted over her last seven contests.

Wasatch's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Spanish Fork, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-4.

Wasatch wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Timpview on the 18th. As for Spanish Fork, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Pleasant Grove on the 18th.
