Baseball Recap: Westfield Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Northbrook, Westfield was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Splendora Wildcats 9-8.

Westfield's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Splendora, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westfield will be taking part in a tournament against King at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Splendora, they will head out to face off against Huntsville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hornets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.6 runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of.
