Basketball Recap: Livingston Lions vs. Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns
The Livingston Lions lost against the Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Livingston had to suffer through a rough 86-54 loss at the hands of the Longhorns. Livingston has struggled against the Longhorns recently, as their contest on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jayden Randolph, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ziekus Garner, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds.
Livingston's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Hamshire-Fannett, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 23-7 record this season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Hardin-Jefferson the next time they take the court. Hamshire-Fannett will host Hardin-Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Livingston will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
