Baseball Recap: Pine View Triumphs

Pine View's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Desert Hills Thunder. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 13-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Tristen Sylvester spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on four hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Porter Campbell, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Pine View is 2-1 when Campbell posts three or more RBI, but 4-6 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Heath, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Pine View's record is now 6-7. As for Desert Hills, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-3.

Pine View will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Thunder: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
