Softball Recap: North Middlesex Regional Takes a Loss

North Middlesex Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 10-1 to the Algonquin Regional Titans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-2 back in April.

North Middlesex Regional saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Delaney Prince, who went 1-for-4 with one double. That double was Prince's first of the season.

North Middlesex Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Algonquin Regional, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Middlesex Regional will host Doherty Memorial at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Algonquin Regional, they will take on Quabbin Regional at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.14 runs per game on average), something the Titans will no doubt try to take advantage of.
