Volleyball Game Preview: St. David's Warriors vs. Wayne Christian Eagles

The St. David's Warriors will head out on the road to challenge the Wayne Christian Eagles on Tuesday. St. David's is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

St. David's lost 3-0 to GRACE Christian on Thursday.

St. David's might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on GRACE Christian: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-22, 25-23.

Despite their defeat, St. David's saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. LIly Graham, who had six kills, four digs, and four aces, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Mary Elizabeth Martin, who had nine digs and one assist.

Meanwhile, Wayne Christian hadn't done well against Arendell Parrott Academy recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Patriots 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted since August 26th.

Wayne Christian wouldn't go down easily and took Arendell Parrott Academy into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-19, 22-25, 22-25, 15-11.

St. David's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Wayne Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-8.
