There's no place like home for Chaminade Julienne Catholic, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Archbishop McNicholas Rockets on Monday. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Rockets last Wednesday, they had to take a 4-3 defeat.

Isaac Sullivan was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Sullivan wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Landon Scott, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double. Aidan Kohlbacher also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Chaminade Julienne Catholic's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-4. As for Archbishop McNicholas, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4.
