Basketball Recap: Jacksonville's Luck Changes for the Better on Saturday

If Richlands wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Jacksonville, they should've done a better job of containing Tafari Martin. The Jacksonville Cardinals enjoyed a cozy 74-55 victory over the Richlands Wildcats on Saturday thanks in part to Martin, who went 13 for 17 on his way to 33 points in addition to five assists and three steals. Those 33 points gave him a new career-high.

With the win, Jacksonville broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-4. As for Richlands, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Jacksonville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 67-61 defeat against White Oak on the 30th. Richlands has also already played their next game, a 56-42 victory against Dixon on the 30th.
