Softball Recap: Kelso Hilanders vs. Evergreen Plainsmen
There's no place like home for Kelso, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They walked away with a 7-2 win over the Evergreen Plainsmen on Wednesday. That's more bragging rights for Kelso, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Kelso got a massive performance out of Skylar Richie, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Kyleigh Day was another key contributor, going 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI.
Kelso's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-10. As for Evergreen, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.
Kelso will be playing at home against Mountain View at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Evergreen, they will head out on the road to take on Heritage at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
