Recap: Arroyo Valley Hawks vs. Notre Dame Titans

The Arroyo Valley Hawks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 13th straight loss. They suffered a rough 62-40 defeat at the hands of Notre Dame. While losing is never fun, Arroyo Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1293rd, while Notre Dame is ranked 614th).

Notre Dame got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Caiden Broughton out in front who scored 14 points along with five steals. Another player making a difference was Mark Cadena, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Arroyo Valley bumped their record down to 4-19 with that defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road. As for Notre Dame, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arroyo Valley will take on Colton at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Colton's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests. As for Notre Dame, they will be playing in front of their home fans against San Gorgonio at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. San Gorgonio knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matchups -- so hopefully Notre Dame likes a good challenge.
