Ceres won the last time they faced Lathrop and things went their way on Friday too. The Bulldogs blew past the Spartans 13-2. Winning may never get old, but the Bulldogs sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Alizae Cole made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, Bella Bravo was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Emma Hernandez also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Ceres was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in four consecutive matches.

The Bulldogs are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a 13-game losing streak. As for Lathrop, they are taking a road trip to challenge Johansen at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.46 runs per game on average), something the Spartans will no doubt try to take advantage of.
