Volleyball Game Preview: Holy Cross Indians vs. Scott Eagles

The Holy Cross Indians will head out on the road to take on the Scott Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Monday, Holy Cross was able to grind out a solid win over Villa Madonna, taking the game 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Holy Cross took both sets by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-14.

Holy Cross' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Avery Sturgeon, who had nine digs and three assists.

Meanwhile, Scott got the win against Montgomery County on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0. The Eagles have beaten the Indians the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Indians has come to flipping the script.

Holy Cross' record now sits at 19-12. As for Scott, their record is now 22-11.
