Basketball Recap: Union Colony Prep Comes Up Short

After soaring to 58 points the game before, Union Colony Prep was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They took a blow against the Prairie Mustangs, falling 61-11. The defeat continues a trend for the Timberwolves in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now lost three in a row.

Soliana Gebremskel was Union Colony Prep's leading scorer, having posted eight points. Gebremskel also led the team in rebounds with nine.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Prairie to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hannah Kugler, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 19 boards. The match was Kugler's third in a row with at least ten points. Molly Walker was another key player, going 6 of 11 on her way to 14 points along with eight steals and seven assists.

Having lost for the first time this season, Union Colony Prep fell to 2-1. As for Prairie, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.
