Valley View had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 6-1 win over the King Wolves on Thursday. The victory was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on six straight.

Giselle Morales spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on seven hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Alyssa Torres, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run and two runs. Another player making a difference was Miranda Maese, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Valley View's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for King, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 15-11-1 record.

Looking ahead, Valley View will square off against Temescal Canyon at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. The Titans will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. King does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
