Recap: Pasco Bulldogs vs. Kamiakin Braves
The Pasco Bulldogs''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Kamiakin, falling 50-0. While losing is never fun, Pasco can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 201st, while Kamiakin is ranked 30th).
It was another big night for Camden Schmidt, who rushed for 182 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry, and also caught a touchdown. Dom Powell got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Pasco's loss was their tenth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 2-7. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 10.6 points per game. As for Kamiakin, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pasco will take on University at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kamiakin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wenatchee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
