League recap: Limmer throws longest pass in league this season for Poudre

Fans got a thrill when Cody Limmer and Spencer Long connected against Brighton. The connection went for 96 yards, the longest such play in 5A Front Range this season.

Mountain Range extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Heritage, 24-20. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Mustangs.

Long had a great week catching the football as Poudre fell to the Bulldogs. He caught 8 passes for 236 yards.

Limmer threw for 560 yards and 8 touchdowns.

Jake Horner was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 21 carries, he ran for 153 yards as Fossil Ridge lost to Brighton. Teammate Logan Ecker added to the ground attack by rushing for 46 yards.

6-foot-4 quarterback Limmer of Poudre is the league leader in passing yards this season with 2,178. He has also thrown 23 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Kyle Dunbabin. The Mountain Range star has 32 catches for 768 yards.

In 189 carries Langston Stuckey has put up 987 yards this year.

Fort Collins lost to Regis Jesuit 49-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Stuckey was a bright spot for the Lambkins, as he ran for 89 yards in the loss.
