Basketball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Victory Christian Center

Victory Christian Center entered their tilt with Hickory Ridge on Saturday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Everything went their way against the Hickory Ridge Ragin' Bulls as they made off with an 82-62 win. The Kings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Victory Christian Center was led to victory by Carlos Marshall and Justyn Whitfield. Marshall dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds, while Whitfield went 10 of 13 on his way to 24 points and six assists. Whitfield's evening made it 12 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Abubakar Cham, who made all 5 shots he took to post 10 points and six rebounds.

Victory Christian Center has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.6 points per game. As for Hickory Ridge, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Victory Christian Center didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-56 victory against Queen's Grant on the 30th. As for Hickory Ridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 79-72 defeat against Huss on the 30th.
