Football Recap: Denmark vs. River Ridge Knights
Denmark lost a close one when they played last Friday but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on Friday was a bit more commanding. They lost 39-17 to the River Ridge Knights.
River Ridge's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ethan Spector, who threw for 179 yards and three touchdowns. Micah Pugh helped Spector out on the ground, rushing for 45 yards and a touchdown.
Denmark's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for River Ridge, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Denmark will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Cambridge at 7:30 p.m. on September 6th. As for River Ridge, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Allatoona at 7:30 p.m.
