Basketball Recap: Benavides Comes Up Short

Benavides lost against San Isidro back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Benavides Eagles were outmatched by the San Isidro Tigers and fell 79-11. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-8.

This is the second loss in a row for Benavides and nudges their season record down to 1-2. As for San Isidro, they pushed their record up to 17-4 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Benavides will head out to square off against San Perlita at 5:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for San Isidro, they will venture away from home to challenge Pawnee at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. San Isidro is facing Pawnee at the right time seeing as Pawnee is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
