Baseball Recap: Wooster Takes a Loss

Wooster fell victim to Waynedale and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They fell just short of the Golden Bears by a score of 1-0. The Generals were not able to make up for their loss to the Golden Bears from their previous meeting back in April of 2023.

Wooster's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5. As for Waynedale, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 19-0.

Wooster and Waynedale should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Generals will square off against Perry at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday with a big rank advantage (48 vs. 214). Meanwhile, Waynedale (ranked ninth) will meet Hillsdale (ranked 265th) at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
