Volleyball Recap: Tri County Area Vikings vs. Reed City Coyotes
If Tri County Area was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Chippewa Hills last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vikings came up short against the Reed City Coyotes on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Vikings haven't had much luck with the Coyotes recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.
While Tri County Area was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Reed City's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-16, 25-22.
Natalie Briggs paced Tri County Area's offense, picking up nine kills. Briggs got some help from Karlie Byle and her 16 assists. Byle was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.
Tri County Area's defeat dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Reed City, they now have a winning record of 15-14-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Tri County Area will take on Morley Stanwood at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Reed City, they will face off against Pine River Area at 5:30 p.m. on the 30th.
