Soccer Recap: South Anchorage Comes Up Short

South Anchorage's game on Wednesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chugiak Mustangs. It was the first time this season that South Anchorage let down their fans at home.

South Anchorage was without their leading scorer, Dawit Hoffman, in Wednesday's matchup. With Hoffman sitting this one out, Ralf Braun got some extra time on the pitch (90 vs. his season average of 51.6).

South Anchorage's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Chugiak, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Coincidentally, South Anchorage and Chugiak will both be playing Dimond the next time they take the pitch. The Mustangs will head out to face the Lynx at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Wolverines will host them at 7:30 p.m. on the 16th.
