It was a proper cat-fight when Houghton Lake challenged Evart on Friday. Houghton Lake came up short against Evart, falling 53-30. The Bobcats have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Tawas Area beat Rogers City 25-21 on Thursday.

Tawas Area is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.3 points over those games. Houghton Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15.
