Baseball Game Preview: Camden Central Lions vs. Stewart County Rebels

The Camden Central Lions will head out on the road to square off against the Stewart County Rebels at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Camden Central has given up an average of 7.4 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when Camden Central took on Riverside on Thursday. The Lions lost 15-5 to the Panthers. The Lions just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Meanwhile, Stewart County fell victim to Trigg County and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. Having soared to a lofty 23 runs in the game before, the Rebels' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Stewart County's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-8. As for Camden Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-11.

Camden Central beat Stewart County 12-7 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Do the Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rebels turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
