Volleyball Recap: M.L. King Takes a Loss

M.L. King was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Miller Grove Wolverines. The Lions were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wolverines from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-4.

Miller Grove's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was DeMyah Peoples, who had four aces and one block. That's the most aces Peoples has posted since back in August of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor-Raye Evering, who had five kills and two blocks.

M.L. King's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Miller Grove, their win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

M.L. King didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Redan on the 9th. As for Miller Grove, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Lithonia on the 9th.
