The Port Neches-Groves Indians entered their tilt with the Galena Park Yellowjackets with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. Port Neches-Groves breezed by Galena Park at home to the tune of 41-7. The result was nothing new for Port Neches-Groves, who have now won five contests by 25 points or more so far this season.
Blair Chatagnier was on fire: he rushed for 166 yards and four touchdowns on only ten carries. Chatagnier was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 59 yards.
Port Neches-Groves' win was their tenth straight at home (dating back to last season), which pushed their record up to 9-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 32.8 points per game. As for Galena Park, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Port Neches-Groves will square off against Brenham at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Brenham has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 164 points over their last four matches. Galena Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
