Baseball Game Preview: Bend Lava Bears vs. Ridgeview Ravens

The Bend Lava Bears will head out on the road to take on the Ridgeview Ravens at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Bend barely beat Redmond the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lava Bears blew past the Panthers 11-1 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Lava Bears, who have now won six contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Kaden Cooper was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cash Hattenhauer, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Ridgeview got the win against Caldera on Friday by a conclusive 14-1. That looming 14-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Ravens yet this season.

Bend pushed their record up to 13-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Ridgeview, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.

Bend might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from Ridgeview in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Lava Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
