Oakley extended their winning streak to eight games thanks to a huge performance from Jade Beckman. The Oakley Plainsmen came out on top against the Hoxie Indians by a score of 48-41 on Saturday thanks in part to Beckman, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 boards. Beckman is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least four every time she's taken the court this season.

Oakley pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Hoxie, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oakley will take on Wheatland-Grinnell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wheatland-Grinnell is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.1 points per game this season. As for Hoxie, they will square off against Russell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
